Syntheses

One of the most powerful functions of CITE-ITEL is to support the writing and publishing of research syntheses on topics related to initial literacy teacher preparation.  Each of the articles included in CITE-ITEL stands on its own as a significant contribution to the literature. However, the real power comes when topics are examined across multiple studies. Such syntheses provide direction not only for practice but for future research.

The links below will take you to research syntheses that have drawn on the CITE-ITEL database.  If you are interested in writing a research synthesis on a topic (e.g., as a full synthesis or as background for an article) we encourage you to contact us for additional support and access to the system.

Also, when you publish a synthesis we would encourage you to contact us to add the reference to this publication to the system.
